I don't think she will be a regular because women can be on maternity leave for a year now so she might not be back until the last few eps or something.
I also don't think she would be sacked as imagine the uproar in discrimination against women having babies!!

She might not have been sacked, but she might have choosen to leave to spend more time with her baby. She hasnt even had it yet (as far as we know), and filming has started, so she she probably can't be in alot of episodes.

I doubt they'll kill her off but they could probably find a new love interest for Michael in Sona.
Women in PB don't tend to have long shelf-lives anyway.
