Well I'm in need of some new music and thought this might be a nice way of doing it. Like if you're after similar artists to some you already like. Or just to recommend something new in general. MySpace is great for finding new music or giving someone a flavour of a band/artist.
I guess I'm looking for bands in the vein of 30 Seconds To Mars, MCR, Fall Out Boy, The Killers (granted they're all quite different in their own ways too). I've given bands like Aiden, AFI and Kill Hannah a try but not really liking them much.
Also, a couple of new artists (well, sort of) that I'd like to recommend. If you're partial to some acousticy-rock-pop type stuff - say if you like hmm...solo males such as Paulo Nutini, James Morrison etc. These guys are pretty good:
Nick Atkinson[/url][/u] - he was the lead singer of Rooster if you remember them? (Come get Some, Staring At The Sun etc..). Well they split up a few months back and now he's back with some solo material. I'm loving it. He's such a nice bloke too - check out his blogs to the fans! And his music is lush. I especially love Septembering and I Love You Anyway. (the latter is sort of cheesy but it's so much fun to listen to!). I can't wait til he's out on the road touring cause he has so much energy on stage, and a fab live voice
Ste McNally[/url][/u] - or Ste Mak as he's going by (which I hate haha!). Any of you remember BBMak? They had the whole pop act with guitars writing own songs waaay before Busted haha only they didn't really take off here. They were quite successful in the US and Asia though, most UK people will probably have heard/remember "Back Here" though? Anywho, they split a couple of years back to pursue solo things, this is Ste's. His music's so laid back - it oozes summer!
I'll shut up now =P I love discovering new music and being introduced to new bands (or old ones that I haven't really given a chance! - if it weren't for AP I wouldn't really class myself as a MCR fan

I'm gonna recommend two bands in general and then drag myself away.
