Hi all, I'm so fed up with finding the right sewing machine and getting conflicting information from different websites and my local sewing machine shop - please help me! I bought a Brother industrial sewing machine recommended by my local sewing machine shop in order to sew soft furnishings such as cushions and curtains, thin upholstery fabric and cotton bags. I am not an experienced sewer and I found it extremely hard to sew with an industrial. It's way too fast, has only on stitch, is oily, comes only with basic instructions, changing the bobbin is a nightmare etc. I now would like to exchange it with a domestic machine, that has more stitch variety, speed control and is over all easier to handle etc. I had a look on my local machine shop's website, which explained that Brother XL series is suitable for soft furnishing and denims see here. However, when I called the shop, they told me its not!!!! Could people please let me know which machine you use? My spending limit is £250. Is there anything out there for me at all? ************************** Roller Blinds| Blackout Roller Blinds
