Okay, I'll admit that I'd zoned out during Mahone's big revelation about Shales - I was just waiting for him to shoot Tweener.
The most I could work out was that he shot him? Err... I think...
Anyone want to help out?

He didn't really say anything just grabbed his neck and said that's where he put the bullet in him, and while we're on the confession part i'll have to say i wasn't really paying attention when they were in the interview room and he was talking about them little pills, I was just more worried about the fact that Tweener could possibly grass them up. Again!!!

I guess that's what the repeats are for! I think he said that the pills kept him sane or something. In that scene I was practically shouting at the tele going "you fink Mahone! You know that blood isn't from Gudat so stop making him think that it is!"

OMG, that's exactly what i was thinking, I was shouting at the TV, thats T-bag's blood, but i suppose showing him that make T-bag look worse. and he was hoping he would give them up. God bless Tweener, he died saving the rest of them

Although then I felt a bit odd for saying "he didn't kill him THAT way so he's not as evil" when he killed him to begin with lol.
I still don't like Tweener but I was pleased that he didn't give them up - he gained a smidgeon of respect then lol.

Mahone was going on about how, when he was on the hunt for Shales, Shales kept leaving dead bodies in a trail but Mahone could never catch him and he thought it was because he wasn't smart enough to catch him. He was comparing the guilt he felt for those dead people to the guilt Tweener would feel if he knew T-Bag was on a mass killing spree as well, I guess for Mahone he had someone to shift the blame on - it's no longer Mahone's fault for not catching them, it's Tweener's for not giving up their whereabouts. Which he then just ruined when he killed him cause now it's all on Mahone again. What an idiot! I don't get what he was on about with shooting Shales though - so did he do the same to him as he did to Tweener?

Ahh so he was transfering his guilt to Tweener then?

Yeah I think he was just trying to get Tweener to feel guilty and that everything would be his fault if he didn't give them up.
Didn't really get the shooting bit either I was also just waiting for Tweener to get shot. But prehaps we will find out more, I don't think this is the end of Shales as it seems to be what makes Mahone!

What I don't get is when he scrumpled Michael's picture up once and it looked like the one of Mahone.

Well Shales turned out to be more vital to the show than I thought he would have done but I'm still surprised that Michael is letting him get away with murder rather than just trying to leave an annoymous tip (before the phone call) and getting Mahone arrested (at least for a while) so that he could run with Lincoln more easily.

I'd never thought about him doing that. That's actually quite a genius idea! Maybe Michael isn't so smart after all

I suppose he didn't know where Shales was buried though lol And it wouldn't make as entertaining viewing
