Why, when Mahone recruited Bellick to kill convicts did he forbid Bellick from killing Haywire only to do it himself? Did he think Haywire deserved better than Bellick? Was he going to try and let Haywire escape if there wasn't a crowd (I doubt that one but you never know.)

I don't think he said to kill them did he just trap them until he got there.

I don't think he said anything about killing them either, surely he knows that he cannot let anyone know that they are intentionally killing them. Is Mahone loosing his touch that he needs to get Bellick to do the figuring out for him? But guess Bellick did quite well at finding Michael and T-Bag, guess he is cleverer than I thought!

I was saying to a mate last night that I think out of all of them Bellick is probably the best one to find them all, like Mahone said he managed to find Michael and Linc and he found T-bag and I suppose he's the one who knows them the best. I mean he only just got released from prison and he'd already found one of them!!!
I think Mahone wants Bellick there cos he ain't afraid of roughing them up. I think that was what he wanted him for.

Was a bit confused with this thread - thought it was going to be about Haywire's dog!!!! And why it didn't chase Bellick...or follow Haywire. Yes I have realised that it is about Bellick and being Mahone's lap dog. Sometimes I worry about my train of thought........

I thought that Mahone wanted Bellick to do the things that he couldn't cope with doing anymore (such as the murders) but maybe that was just my interpretation And Daisy, maybe the dog was protecting the raft?

I thought it was just chasing the others cos Mahone wants to concentrate on Michael but that other FBI guy is going above his head now so he has to follow the leads on the others when they get them So he sends Bellick out to follow the leads and them Mahone only has to go in to finish the job. I though it was going to be about the dog too. On that note how come the owner of the dog doesn't miss it??! (I know this is not important before anyone tells me off for saying this, I just thought about it today! )

He might miss it - we haven't seen him since the dog ran off with Haywire.
I'm still so pleased that he didn't get eaten (the dog, not the man) I was worried about that!

But who is going to look after the dog now? I think I am more interested in the dog than Bellick!!!
