Many people all over the world would have seen footage of the riots downtown on June 15th after the Vancouver Canucks lost to the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup finals. The scene was similar to political uprisings elsewhere in the world with cars being torched and stores looted. I'm sure the imagery will damage Vancouver's reputation for some time to come. But is Vancouver an unsafe place? To set the record straight, no. It is still as safe a city as any it's size. There are a few seedy areas, but they are easily avoided and by and large you won't find trouble (unless you are looking for it, of course). Wednesday night will live on in infamy for some time to come in Vancouver. But overall nothing has changed here. ****************************** Toronto Moving company| Long distance movers
