I am confused about why it is safe to keep smoked ham out of the refrigerator but not smoked turkey?Smoking was one of the main means of preserving food buy e-cigarettes before refrigerators became commonplace.
The ham would have been thoroughly smoked and cured using traditional methods to prevent it from deteriorating, and is therefore safe to keep unrefrigerated.
