What is the reason for what kind of energy is given off by material in orbit of a black hole?
The intense gravity is slowing it down and causing low energy emissions.
The intense gravity is speeding it up and causing high energy emissions.
No light can escape from a black hole so the emissions must not be electromagnetic.
Nothing can escape a black hole so nothing is emitted.
