My wife's good friend has offered to sell us her used car seat (Graco Snugride 35) for our upcoming baby. She says the car seat is less than a year old. (We trust her in general, and also know her firstborn arrived 11 months ago). She swears that she has never been in a car accident and that the seat is in excellent condition. States that she has all the pieces and the installation manual. Is it a bad idea to purchase a used car seat for a friend.
