What baby monitor is best?

The last baby monitor we had died a horrible death filled with so many problems and static. So I have been researching and researching to find a new one that will work.I have seen huge amounts of recommendations for Bebe's Angel Care monitor. However our little girl is seven months old, so I don't believe we need the motion sensor. (past the scary sids stage)
