My four month old baby sleeps

My four month old baby sleeps only if he is wrapped in a cloth. Also i have to swing him in my hands till he sleeps. Sometimes i put down thinking he has slept and he starts crying. How to get him to sleep on his own and also how to stop his habit of wrappin him in a cloth to sleep.
