This is what it said about Sky buying Prison Break in The Sun.....

SKY One has pinched the rights to Prison Break off Channel Five — for £500,000 an episode.

Five’s bosses bid £100,000 less despite it being one of their biggest shows.


It is the THIRD US drama Sky has poached, following Lost from Channel 4 and 24 from BBC2.

Sky One has also bought new US drama Journeyman, featuring Trainspotting actor Kevin Kidd.

i heard about this a few days ago, didn't think it was real though. so does this mean season 3 will start earlier than january?

I think so, I read somewhere that it could be back in August/September, a few weeks after it is released in the US.

just noticed the other thread about it. good how we dont have to wait as long, but the us have a couple months break midway through the season for the baseball (in S1 it was just after the failed escape, in S2 it was when kellerman shot Mahone). plus they sometimes have a week without an episode for some other reason, i've heard this is real bad for lost, but i dunno if it affects prison break a lot

i'm not too sure, but waiting 3 months is definitely better than having to wait 6 months. I suppose we shall just have to wait and see!!!

It wasn't very bad for Lost when it was shown over here - there was the mid-season hiatus that lasted a couple of months but I can't ever remember an episode randomly disappearing for a week.

I remember being told earlier this season, (when shown in the US) that they missed a week cos there was a big baseball game going on so they had to wait 2 weeks for the next episode, but I can't see them doing that on Sky. they'd probably show it continuously till the hiatus. (fingers crossed anyway)
