I would like to hire some vase

I have some vases that I would like to hire for weddings etc but assume there is more to it than putting on a listing on ebay. I know I would need a contract and some terms and conditions, plus I would need to work out how much the security deposit would be. However do I need to be a registered business to do this? I only want to do this as a side-line so it won't be an actual business or full time job.
