So, what secondary characters do you think were wasted throughout the seasons? Which had potential to be so much more than bit-parts but either died too soon or just plain old vanished?
Maytag
Okay so he was only in one episode but he left a lasting impression from a T-Bag fan's view point. In a way, despite being the original 'Pocket Holder' of the series he brought out the nicer side of him. Strange.
Veronica's Fiancé
So he appears and practically as soon as that he goes away. Why was he there? Just to show how Veronica still cared for Lincoln and how conflicted she was? Surely this would have been shown more if he'd been kept in, at least until she went on the run with Nick so that she had something tangible to feel upset about. Much more conflict would have made for a much more interesting Veronica in my opinion.
New FR Warden
Can't even remember his name he was in for such a short while! He didn't even return when Bellick was banged up! The hardline Anti-Pope? It would have been interesting to see how different things were under his rule.
Hector[/b]
Ahh yes... evil Hector. Him getting his revenge on Sucre for getting Maricruz back would have been more interesting than the Maricruz and Bellick storyline!

I think Maytag was just there so it'd create a reason for T-Bag/Michael tension and he worked well for that but I couldn't really care less about his character. Veronica's fiance (what was his name? John? ) I think they should've either done as you suggested and made him more of a character or they should've just not had the whole Veronica/fiance thing at all. Don't really have opinions on the other 2. I could take or leave them both I guess.

I don't think any of them had much of a point apart from to give other characters stuff to do. I don't think the show would be any different with or without them, apart from Magtag for the T-Bag/Michael thing.
Veronicas fiance was called Sebastian!

Yeah, I defintely think that a couple could have done more, but then again, there's still time for Hector to exact his revenge on Sucre, providing Sucre isn't dead!!! But the new Warden was only in 1 episode wasn't he?? He could've been a good storyline too. I think they all could have made good storylines though and the Veronica/Sebastian/Lincoln conflict, would have been definitely more interesting than it was. Veronica was just boring. But the Maytag thing, he could have been in a bit longer but it kinda showed that T-bag did have a caring side, it vanished pretty quickly though!!!

Yeah I know what you mean about Veronicas finacee because it was just like oh i dont want to be engaged to you anymore and that was that like we never heard from him again. I would have liked Hector to be a little more shown than he was because he was an intresting character. Also the new warden as well unless the writers wanted to get away from Fox river for series 2 and not show it at all but why then did they do the Bellifk/Geary storyline. Maytag I think like Laura said was just created for tension

With all the killings, Sebastian made the best decision of his life.

I guess he did do FTB! But there could have been much more tension if he hadn't died so quickly - although that's me reading too many fanfics I suppose *blushes*

Yey! People like Haywire! I agree he was wasted cos we were just about to learn something about his past - that he was abused prehaps and then they kill him. It does annoy me how they did that with a few characters!

I'm not sure I'd class Haywire as entirely wasted; he did have quite a good run after all

Well I suppose but although he was "in" it for a long time he was only in about 6 episodes!
