It seems the first 13 have been written so the plan is to run the 13 to X-mas as originally planned.
PB was then due backin April but no scripts have yet been written so it will depend on how long the strike runs for that will determine if PB comes back.
And the WORST case scenerio is that ep 13 is the last EVER episode of course if the strike continues until May and Fox do not decide to renew PB.

I'd been wondering about this but I only know a little bit about the strike... at least there's enough to last until the haitus though - it said in the article I read that a whole bunch of shows got cancelled last time this happened

yeah they did - usually the new shows that have not had time to get a fan base. It was 1988 but back then there was not that many great shows to watch. Mcgyver got only 16 episodes I think that season and Star Trek NG got 22 episodes many of them were written by producers and were crap - ending the season with Riker having flashbacks to previous episodes!!
PB: Cherry Hill may not get made now as well of course.
Realistically they have to have to sorted by Feb so actors can start filming again - and then theres a possible actors/directors strike in June LOL!! that may effect the start of next season.
I've got a chart detailing the number of episodes that each series has in the can such as:
PB: 13 Desperate Housewives : 9 Lost: 8 24: 9 Scrubs: 12 Journeyman: 12 or 13 Pushing Daisies: 11 CSI: 11 Heroes: 13 but episode 11 is going to be the possible season finale
In the UK, we write the scripts then start filming like with Dr Who, Spooks etc.. whereas in the USA they write and film as they go along and react to the audinece - ie kill a character that people hate. Maybe they should change this policy.

Episode 11 is teh end of Volume 2 anyway so it would be suitable as a season finale. Episode 12 which has been filmed would have to be kept for season 3 if the strike carries on into 2008
