Mine doesn't really have a meaning, my first name any way. It came from the latin fro Laurel leaves, but apparently there was a Saint Laura. She was a nun that was thrown into a vat of molten lead. Sounds fun.
My middle name (Alexandra) doesn't have a meaning either! But Alexander means to Defend.

laurel leaves! I hate that. When you're a kid and you look on those keyrings with the name meanings and everyoens is really cool and us Laura's get lumped with Laurel leaves!
Jayne/Jane apparently menas "God is gracious" and it was the female version of John originally.
