So, which way do you usually travel? Are you one of those people who drive if you're just popping down the road or do you walk everywhere? Bus, train, tube, bike?
I tend to take the bus almost all the time. I don't know how to drive and wouldn't be able to afford to keep a car if I could even afford to learn how to drive and then afford to buy a car! But I do believe I'd take public transport if it was available instead of driving just for the sakes of it.
Although I do wish that I could drive. Then I'd be able to go out in the evenings without going out on the bus in the morning (the last bus leaves for the city from my village at 10 am) - last time I went out with friends I finished where I had to be at 12.30 and then had to wait by myself until 9.00 when my friend finished work! It would be worth driving in that situation again! And to be able to get home in the evening instead of sleeping on a friend's floor (last bus from the city to my village leaves at 5.20 pm.)
I could bike but I never learnt how to ride one - I was so scared as a little kid that I'd fall off and hurt myself that I never got as far as getting the stabilisers off. I was petrified of being on the bike with the bloomin' training wheels on because I was scared of falling off! (I never learnt to swim either but that was because there was a cute guy in my class at school and I was watching him swimming topless - I was only 7 lol and didn't hear what the teacher said when she taught everyone how to swim. I managed to fake it for a few years by staying near the edge of the pool, holding onto the edge and pretending I was doing anything other than kicking fiercely to keep afloat lol!)
