I'm gonna be the bad cop here and say that I think it could. In season one it could have around 5-10 percent and in season two it could have managed to survive without him more around 55-60 percent but there doesn't seem much of a role for him in season three unless he is trying to get Michael out.
He's not needed anymore - it could cope if he were bumped off.

No way AP you can't bury Linc. He is a vital part of the show. PB would fold without him.

I agree with AP it could survive without him! I mean he is not actually in the show an aweful lot and he doesn't really say anything useful! He is often rather wooden- they could just use a cardboard cut out for those that like to look at his chest! Lol, can any of you that have said no give any other reason than that you want to look at him?!

I dont think it could because hes still not cleared his name so they are still after him so techinically he could still be caught. If he was caught then it would work without him and michael because there wouldnt be anybody to break them out

I think it possibly could survive without him, but then if Lincoln was gone then the dynamic of the show would change completely. Although it has changed, the government conspiracy is still there, and the two brothers, but if Linc went then it would be going off the point and it wouldn't really be PB. I mean it started as an escape, then the chase, so we need to see what happens by discovering more about the whole conspiracy and the background surrounding Linc and his father. But then I agree with (can't believe i'm gonna say this, and I do still adore him!) AP and Dingley about him not doing so much. He doesn't really help that much. Except if someone needs a kicking!! I mean, he is 'The Brute' But anyway, no, it couldn't survive without him!!!!! (AP, remind me again why you hate him so much, how many times have you tried to get rid of Linc now? )

technically Linc's name is cleared - that's what Sara went to tell them!
And S72 I'm not sure why I don't like him. I wouldn't say that I hate him - that's reserved for Mahone and Tweener but I think part of it is because he is so over-rated.

Ok, not hate but dislike!!
I suppose he is a bit over-rated, I just wonder what if Dominic played someone like Mahone or something. Would everyone still like him as much? I think because he's the one of the lead roles it's like you're supposed to like him.
I mean if Went played T-bag and Knepper played Michael, would people dislike Went then??

Unless you're a fangirl I think it's about the characters rather than the actors - Lincoln just doesn't do anything for me. Just because the guy is a brick wall and shows his feelings about three times in two seasons it's like I'm expected to go "awwwwww, poor little Lincoln."
And they haven't given him much substance - he has to be the most cardboard character out there after the whole Veronica love angle didn't work out. He's just 'captured' 'father' 'brother' - there isn't much, if any, blurring between the three seperate Lincoln's.
Whereas with someone like T-Bag you can have him being nice (brother's keeper) or a bastard (allen) or both (bad blood) and so on.
with Micheal you can have MisaMichael, BrotherMichael, UncleMike, ConvictMichael (and so on) and there are constant clashes between them. He'll be BrotherMichael with Lincoln but also at the same time retain MisaMichaelness. Or he'll be LJ's uncle but a convict at the same time.
With Lincoln he just seems too clearly defined. It's almost as if the writers got a high-lighter and said "right, today you're mean Lincoln. Pull a face and say 'grr' a lot."

To be fair AP, Linc had been locked up in solitary and had the thought of the electric chair at the end of it, so being subdued was natural. Then the possible PTSD after the near death in the chair didn't make Linc want to bounce around like Tigger when he got out. Being reunited with his son and the scenes with Sara showed us his caring side. The writers hopefully will give Linc a more deeper role in S3 and we'll get to see the real character. Give the guy a break. He's had a tough few years.

lol everyone always says that Linc has had a tough few years but so have all the other characters - he's ended up better than a few of them at the end of it all lol
The winner is: No (darn it!)
