Chapter Six
“You know, I’m still not happy with you.”
“I didn’t tell Bellick,” T-Bag was surprised at Michael’s tone, he had expected something angry or, at the very least, defensive but all he had heard was defeat.
“That’s not exactly what I’m talkin’ about Pretty.” Michael didn’t turn to look at him and he cleared his throat, he wasn’t used to having people ignore him, “I might be wrong but isn’t a conversation supposed to have two people in it?”
Michael sighed, blinking heavily as though he could hardly keep his eyes open before responding, still not turning to look at T-Bag, “what are you angry about then?”
“I didn’t say that I was angry, I said that I wasn’t happy. There’s a big, big difference.”
“Which is?”
“Well if I was angry you’d already…” unbeknownst to Michael T-Bag licked his lips at the thought of what would happen if he was angry. He had tried to summon up some of the anger so that he wouldn’t have to think this through. The truth of the matter was that he didn’t mind Michael. He had moved past physical attributes and developed a personality. It was an overly sarcastic one but that wasn’t the point. The point was that it was going to make everything much more like hard work.
He laid his hand on the inside of Michael’s thigh, letting his index finger begin to trace a lose circle and holding back a smirk when Michael finally reacted properly to him, jumping slightly and pulling his leg sharply away. Michael looked at him and T-Bag found that he could study his face properly, it appeared to have gone the same way as his voice, the delicate skin underneath the eyes violently rubbed red. T-Bag couldn’t help reaching out to touch the skin, knowing that it was raw when Michael jerked away again.
“I guess it’s a good thing you’re not angry then,” Michael obviously saw the confusion pass through his features so nodded down to the leg.
“Oh that, well that happens when I’m feeling ecstatic, let alone angry.” He replaced the hand, holding it still for a few seconds before resuming the circles, this time making them wider, edging dangerously close to Michael’s groin.
“Lincoln just died,” the bluntness of the statement almost threw T-Bag again, it was said with far too much personality.
“I know, I…”
“So why aren’t you happy?”
He obviously didn’t want to talk about Lincoln anymore and the conversation was dragging out the process, making it even more difficult.
“You caused Maytag to die.”
“Maytag?” The innocent sounding question finally managed to ignite some of the anger and T-Bag pushed Michael, sending him crashing onto his back before he manoeuvred himself so that he was in a lying position as well, above Michael but not touching him at all. A flicker of recognition finally passed through Michael’s eyes, “in the race riot… your girlfriend.”
The insolence was helping to make everything seem needed and T-Bag fake yawned, pulling his own white shirt off his head and discarding it on the ground besides them, noting that Michael was finally realising what was happening. “He was my boyfriend actually.”
“I didn’t stab him.” The words were quickened to the point where they were almost garbled.
“I know, but if it wasn’t for you…”
“Get away from him!”
T-Bag heard Sucre’s voice and lifted his head to see the man suddenly launched upon by Purity members, stopping the ill-fated rescue attempt. Hit attention was drawn back to the matter at hand when he noticed Michael trying to wiggle out of reach to run. He calmly grabbed Michael’s arms, pinning them above his head with one hand whilst slowly pulling up the bottom of the remaining shirt with his other.
“As I was saying, Maytag had never participated in a riot before, he had always hidden away until the danger was over but this time he decided that he needed to get rid of the competition. Therefore by making him come after you, you’re directly responsible for his death.” He was surprised that he was managing to keep his voice so steady when he didn’t believe a word of what he had said. It was true that Maytag had gone into his first fighting situation with the mind to assassinate Michael but he blamed himself, if he hadn’t been so interested in Michael then it would never have happened.
He shook his head, he couldn’t be thinking about things like that at a time like this, he had to put on his best performance, knowing too well that Rackham was watching him, waiting to determine if he was to be allowed back into his own group. He deliberately deepened his accent, moving his mouth directly next to Michael’s ear to watch him flinch again, “now what do you say we take a closer look at those tattoos.”
He managed to get the shirt off the barely struggling Michael and was beginning to remove his own trousers when he saw what he never wanted to happen start to happen. The red skin was beginning to sparkle as Michael closed his eyes, the tears gently starting to fall. T-Bag stopped again, mesmerised by the spectacle.
“Come on T!” Anderson almost sounded desperate for him to finish and suddenly he was attacked with wolf whistles and shouts of encouragement. For a few seconds he contemplated stopping entirely but he needed his place back in the gang. He was stronger than he looked but he wasn’t strong enough to fend away a whole group of attackers and he suspected that if Rackham got his way that would be exactly what would happen.
He forced himself to look away from the tears as he removed his trousers and underwear, trying instead to focus on the tattoo, his plans hampered when Michael’s silent tears turned into gulps and gasps of fear. He laid his mouth next to Michael’s ear again, whispering this time so that nobody else in the yard could hear them.
“I don’t want to do this Michael…”
“Don’t.” Unlike T-Bag, Michael hadn’t managed to keep his voice as a whisper and the yard laughed at his plea.
“I have to, I have to get back into the gang and this is the only way. But if you want I can knock you unconscious, make it look like an accident. I promise that you won’t feel a thing.”
Michael nodded and T-Bag almost sighed in relief, he hated that Michael had become a real person to him instead of just a body, it was almost no fun when the victims were unconscious, but he knew that he wouldn’t be able to deal with Michael crying, knowing that his world had already been shattered once that day. He pulled Michael close to him before smacking his head onto the concrete, making sure it was only hard enough to make him lose consciousness and not to cause any permanent damage. As he began to remove Michael’s trousers from his now limp body he whispered something else to him, entirely unaware of the irony.
“I’m sorry Michael, I’m so sorry.”

That is so good it's really compelling and emotional and everything but 1 question. If they are out in the yard wouldn't the C.Os on the other side of the fence break them up??? Doesn't detract frm the writing thought it's awesome.
