This is a new feature that has just been added - basically it's a cross between the forum and msn - check it out on the bottom of any O/T board or thread or at: riotdrilldevil.proboards52.com/index.cgi?action=chat
The only thing is that you need to keep that page up or it will log you out but you can always open the rest of the forum in another window.
