I'm going for option two here - I don't like him (we never saw any justification or even any brief emotion for why he ended up the kind of person that he did) but I do think he was a good character. Basically Kellerman in season one but with a telephone instead of a gun - fun!

I agree with AP he was a good character but I cheered when Sara shot him. He was pure evil with no emotions.

Occasionally he did seem to have a flicker of emotion - even if it was just anger or frustration though.

I agree with you both. He was a good character, he showed us just how far TC was willing to go to keep their secrets. He was really hard faced though. He didn't care who got hurt, and although he showed a bit of emotion occasionally it was only when TC was under threat.
Like Aldo told his son, 'You have to leave everything behind'. I think that included feelings, a heart, compassion, sympathy as well as his family.
I think it would have been good to get more of an insight into Kim, like how he got where he was. I don't think that'll be happening now though!!! lol
